To note, Rabbi Motti Elon is the Rosh Yeshiva of "Yeshivat HaKotel", a Hesder program.
His relationship with Chassidim are very good.

i was told that the satmar rebbe is a decendant of the alter and the miteler rebbes!
has anyone heard of this?
To ot - Yes. R' Moshe Teitelboim, the father of the heintiger Satmar - is mentioned in "Sefer HaTze'etzaim" of the Alter Rebbe, as one of the descendants.
(It may have been from R' Moshe's mother, etc; so, I can't recollect if R' Yoel was also. Anyone?)
So why is he calling it the alter rebbes Niggun if it is the baal hatnyas niggun

The Satmer Rov is descended from the Baal HaTanya and the Mittler Rebbe liek this. The old Satmar Rov, R. Moshe's mother was the daughter of Rabbi Sholom Leizer of Ratsfort, who was the son-in-law of R. Mordechai DovBer of Hornesteipel. His great grandfather R. Yaakov Yisroel of Tcherkas was the son of Rebbe Mordechai of Chernoble and son-in-law of Rebbe Dov Ber the Mittler Rebbe.

To anon 10:33, i dont know why you’re so angry! Not everybody in the world hates us. i deal with satmar chasseidim all the time and i get along very well with them. (btw, did you not here about the chabad house mikvah which was sponsored by two satmar chasseidem recently?!) and If you’re angry then go to your local psychologist.
